AmeriHealth Caritas, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Name Paul Loffreda Market President of Blue Cross Complete of Michigan

Southfield, Mich., May 18, 2020 — AmeriHealth Caritas and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan jointly announced today that they have appointed Paul Loffreda as market president of Blue Cross Complete of Michigan. In this role, Loffreda is responsible for the general oversight of the health plan’s day-to-day operations, including medical affairs, quality, provider network management, marketing and community outreach. He will also serve as the plan’s primary point of contact with the state of Michigan. Loffreda joined Blue Cross Complete of Michigan in 2012 as director of vendor management and was promoted to director of operations and administration in 2015. He previously held leadership roles at Meridian Health Plan, Inc. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University. Loffreda replaces Heidi Chan, who left the plan in September 2019 to become market president of AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina.
