2023 marked the historic affiliation of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont. This partnership not only puts high-quality care first while sustaining the unique local character and commitments of each organization, but it has also set a new standard for collaboration and innovation in our industry.
The affiliation between our two well-established health plans was driven by a shared vision to enhance the health and well-being of our members and communities. By joining forces, we have opened the doors to countless opportunities to further share information technology, expertise and operational resources. By doing so, we intend to reduce the cost of future investments.
The benefits of our partnership will grow from our combined strengths and efforts. As we look to the future, we are excited about the transformative impact this partnership will continue to have on health care delivery and outcomes as we continue striving to make health care costs affordable and predictable for members and group customers, while offering high-quality health care solutions and a best-in-class provider network.
